Alex Drummond is crazy for ranch dressing—and to be fair, aren't we all?
The Pioneer Woman's eldest daughter shares her mom's love for ranch dressing in every which way. Just look at all of Ree's recipes featuring ranch, including her Wedge Salad with Buttermilk Ranch or Sheet-Pan Ranch Pork Chops. But it's not just the Drummonds who are obsessed with ranch. It's everyone in the state of Oklahoma (or so it seems). "At P-Town Pizza, the number one requested condiment is ranch," Ree says.
So, when Alex recently shared on Instagram that one of her favorite new products in the kitchen had to do with ranch, we were intrigued. While it's not your homemade ranch dressing (Ree has a simple recipe for that), this ranch condiment is something entirely unique.
"This is the ranch we use," Alex says, "and it's literally life changing."
Enter: Whataburger's Spicy Jalapeño Ranch aka the key to making this lunch "soooo yummy," as she says. According to the product page, the creamy, fiery condiment can be used as a dip for French fries, a salad dressing, or a topping for burgers and sandwiches (or lettuce wraps if you're inspired by Alex). It has a kick thanks to spicy jalapeño peppers that's perfect for pairing with chicken dinners and all your favorite BBQ recipes.
The post came about after Alex shared another one of her quick weekday lunch ideas. Along with posting her fair share of delicious and easy dinner recipes, including slow-cooker tortilla soup and a TikTok-inspired chicken recipe, Alex has been known to keep things light and simple at lunchtime. "Back with another easy, healthy-ish lunch that we eat a lot around here," she says. The plate included lettuce wraps filled with sliced turkey, salami, cheese, and, of course, ranch dressing!
If you've never been to Whataburger before, this beloved Texas-based restaurant chain is known for their burgers served from inside signature orange and white striped buildings. It's been around since the 1950's but in recent years, they started selling their signature sauces, including Honey BBQ, Spicy Ketchup, and Jalapeño Ranch, in stores across the country.
Alex's favorite, Jalapeño Ranch, can now be found online at Walmart. But get it while you can! Like many of Alex’s go-to products (including her Stanley Quencher Tumbler), this ranch dressing can be hard to track down! 🤪
