If you know the saying, "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream," then you know it's true: Ice cream is one of the best summer desserts on a hot, sunny day. Ree Drummond loves ice cream so much that she even opened her own ice cream parlor, Charlie's Sweet Shop, in her hometown of Pawhuska.
"It's my childhood dream come true," she says. "I've been making my own ice cream every summer for years, and I always serve it for the 4th of July. It's a Drummond family tradition, and I can't imagine what would happen if I skipped it one year. Let's not find out!"
Making ice cream from scratch is great, but you can have just as much fun creating treats with store-bought flavors. The Pioneer Woman team created some truly inspired recipes—all using ice cream from the supermarket. Think: ice cream sandwiches, over-the-top sundaes, ice cream cakes and pies, ice cream floats, and tons of copycat recipes for ice cream truck favorites. "Grab a few of your favorite pints and dress them up in style," Ree says. Let's get the ice cream party started!

Sundaes
A proper ice cream party calls for sundaes! Go all out with your favorite toppings, like whipped cream, caramel, magic shell, sprinkles—and a cherry on top.
