It's not pumpkin season until Starbucks says it is... well, today's the day!
The coffee chain has officially announced the return of their seasonal fall menu items, including the ever-popular Pumpkin Spice Latte! 🙌
Despite record high temperatures, fans have been eagerly waiting for Starbucks to drop a hint about when their favorite coffee drinks would get a pumpkin spice makeover. After all, we've already seen pumpkin spice products drop in grocery stores and at other popular chains, like Krispy Kreme, this month. Plus, the hope of warm, spiced beverages just makes us even more excited about breaking out those cozy flannels and cute fall sweaters.
Luckily, we don't have to wait any longer because starting August 24, you can head over to Starbucks and order your Pumpkin Spice Latte—a tradition that's 20 years in the making!
That's right, the PSL was first introduced in 2003 (just one year after Ree Drummond's eldest son was born!). In a statement from Peter Dukes, who first helped create the beverage, he said: "Nobody knew at the beginning what it would grow to be... 20 years later, it's taken on a life of its own."
As always, the combination of Starbucks Signature Espresso, steamed milk, real pumpkin, and warm spices will be available hot, iced, or blended.
And if that weren't enough fall flavor for ya, Starbucks is also introducing two new seasonal drinks—the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte and the Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso.
Other fall menu items include fan-favorites like the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato. Looking for a fall dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth? Starbucks will also be serving up a new Baked Apple Croissant along with their Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins and Owl Cake Pops for a limited time.
