I wanted to share a few photos of the cute and charming Christmas lights (and tree!) in downtown Pawhuska. What I love about the lights and decorations is that it isn't too over-the-top (not that there's anything wrong with being over the top!) I think Norman Rockwell would like Pawhuska. 😊

First and foremost: The tree! The city takes care of this every year and they always get the tree from a different place. It's never a Rockefeller Center-type tree, and that's what I love about it. It looks homey and natural, and they decorate it to dress it up. That it's right in the center of the street makes it really fun.

The Drummond Ranch truck! We didn't deck it out this year because time got away from us, but because it's bright Christmasy red, it pretty much counts as a holiday decoration in my book.

Little white lights on deciduous trees that have lost their foliage is probably one of my favorite Christmas decorations there is. We don't have many of these in downtown Pawhuska, so the ones that are lit up really stand out.

The Merc! We did our usual lights and greenery and red bows. This year we threw those snowflakes on the side of the building at the last minute, haha! Next year, we will have a little more of a plan about that, but I think they're kinda cute.

Everything was closed for the night when these photos were taken, but that helps the lights and greenery stand out. Charlie's is all dressed up for Christmas!

Here's the front door of the Merc. Next year maybe we'll add a life sized Grinch or Buddy the Elf or something? (Just kidding. But it would sure make things exciting!)

I love the windows lined in lights! We don't do any exterior Christmas decorations at our house on the ranch because...well...nobody every drives by to see anything. Ha! But it's sure fun to light things up in town.

And here's the Boarding House, with its cute gingham-topped tree!

And last but not least...P-Town Pizza! It welcomes you into the restaurant with pretty greenery and open arms. Pepperoni pizza awaits you inside.

I hope you're having a magical time leading up to Christmas! Thank you for letting me share a little Pawhuska with you. Ho Ho Ho!
