Get ready for a sweet treat! 🍭🍫

The new Willy Wonka movie, simply titled Wonka, officially has a trailer—and it's full of pure imagination! In a new twist on the classic childhood book by Roald Dahl written in 1964, the upcoming film will portray the untold story of the peculiar inventor and chocolatier, Willy Wonka, before he opened his famous chocolate factory.

Of course, this isn't the first time the iconic children's book was adapted to the big screen! There was the original Willy Wonka played by Gene Wilder in the 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, plus a Tim Burton rendition in 2005 played by Johnny Depp. This time around, Timothée Chalamet will star as young Wonka and the whimsical story will take place before Charlie Bucket found the golden ticket.

But don't worry—it'll still have all that charm, mystery, and music (yes, it is a musical!) just like the original film.

In an interview with People, director Paul King (known for the Paddington movies) said, "He [Timothée] brings this riot of color and energy and the future, and a lot more joyous sense of it."
