In case you haven't heard, putting pickles on pizza is apparently the biggest thing since topping your Italian staple with pineapple. In fact, #PicklePizza has become quite the phenomenon in the world of TikTok recipes, garnering over 16.4 million views on the app to date!

To some, this might be a normal thing they've done for years. To others, the idea of adding a sliced dill onto their cheesy delight might be both new and slightly alarming.

Traditionally speaking (if we can even say that), a typical serving of Pickle Pizza consists of mozzarella cheese which is sprinkled over either a ranch or garlic sauce base, and, of course, some sliced pickles! (How you make your dough is up to you.)

Though, there are plenty of ways to indulge in the viral social media dish—as the only key ingredient is pickles. Just one scroll through TikTok and you'll see countless renditions of Pickle Pizza.

We've seen everything from people adding hot sauce or red pepper flakes to some even inserting entire jars of miniature dills inside of the crust. (You really gotta love pickles for that last one. 😅)

It seems that popular pizza brands have also caught on to the #PicklePizza trend, including DiGiorno, who recently announced its' upcoming Pineapple Pickle Pizza package.

Yes, you read that right: A frozen dish containing not one, but two controversial food takes! The best part? It's free!

DiGiorno is offering boxes of its Pineapple Pickle Pizza at no cost over at shopdigiorno.goodnes.com in weekly releases. Though, you'll have to wait until September 5 for the promotion to start.
