Yellowstone star Cole Hauser and his wife Cynthia just reached a bittersweet parenting milestone: They sent their first kid off to college!

Cynthia, who shares three sons with Cole, posted the news about their oldest, Ryland (18), on her Instagram account recently.

Ryland graduated from high school back in May 2023, and committed to Texas Christian University (TCU) shortly after, which is where he will be attending this fall.

"And just like that my baby boy is starting his life. Dad and I are so proud of you Ryland!!" Cynthia captioned the post. "We know you’ll touch so many lives! Thank you for being open to learning from us, sharing your enormous heart, and making Steely and Colt feel so special. We’ll miss you very much honey."

The heartfelt message was enough to bring tears to just about any parent's eyes.

Hauser left a rather simple, but encouraging comment under the post: "Have the time of your life son! U deserve it." đŸ„ș

Responding to his parents, Ryland left a comment of his own: "Love you Mom and Dad, going to miss y’all! Thank you for all you’ve done for me. ❀"

Now, if there's anyone who could relate to this very specific parental experience, it's Ree and Ladd Drummond! The couple, who share four kids and one "bonus child" together, have recently become empty nesters after sending their youngest, Todd, off to college a few months back.

"Life is weird these days," Ree wrote in a Facebook post about the experience. "A little lighter, less laundry, much more quiet."

Oh, and speaking of laundry, if Ryland is anything like Jamar—he'll be bringing home loads of laundry to do during holiday breaks! 😂

Most know Cole as Rip Wheeler from Yellowstone, the beloved sweetheart who's married to Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and a right-hand man to John Dutton (Kevin Costner). While we love seeing Cole share bits about his personal life on social media, we can't wait to see what this final season of Yellowstone has in store for him!
